Sorry for the lack of a post last week! Not only was it knit and stitch on Friday (Buy ALL the Craft Things!) it was also my lovely Gran’s 90th birthday so we had a party to celebrate! She had a lovely time and it was nice to catch up with all my relatives that I hadn’t seen in ages.
Needless to say it’s been pretty manic here. I’ve also spent the weekend bookbinding leather journals which has been super fun and now I’m a bit obsessed with making them….guess what everyone’s getting as gifts this year! Ha!
Today’s mani is actually the mani I wore to my Gran’s party as it matched my dress. I was originally just going to go with just one colour on all 10 nails but I thought, ‘hell why not give it a go?’ It’s been a while since I’ve done any freehand.
For this I used :
- Pointer & Pinky: BarryM Gelly ‘Mango’ 2 coats
- Index & Ring:
- Black Cirque ‘Momento Mori’
- Orange: BarryM Gelly ‘Tangerine’
- Blue: BarryM ‘Cobalt blue’
- Red: BarryM Gelly ‘Blood Orange’
- White: Essence The Gel Polish ‘White Wild Ways’
- Nail Studs
- Sech Vite
It was really fun doing this one! My right hand didn’t look too shabby either but the pattern was fairly forgiving so that made it easier. I’m actually teaching my self to write left handed at the moment all so that I when I do freehand designs, my poor right hand doesn’t end up like the ugly sister.
As you can probably tell, this photo was taken a couple of days after so there is a bit of tip wear.
That’s all for today but coming up this week I have 4 swatches of the new OPI New Orleans collection!
Have a good rest of the week and I’ll see you all soon
