How are we all doing? I hope you’ve all had a good week and have lots of nice things planned for the weekend. Mr Eeeek is working today (boo hiss to that!) but that does give me the chance to start swatching and cataloguing the 100+ or so new polishes that have been sitting in my helmer for the last few months untouched and unloved. I really need to get a grip of things so that I, a) don’t end up buying duplicates and b) have some sort of clue as to numbers…. I have a feeling we might be reaching the 1000 barrier soon, gah!
Anyway….I have actually got 2 manis to show you today as I couldn’t decide which one I preferred ! They all contain stamping so they fit in with this week’s N.A.I.L prompt 🙂
For all these manis I used a combination of the following:
- Orly ‘Mirror Mirror’ (Grey)
- butterLondon ‘Cheeky Chops’ (yellow)
- O.P.I ‘Alpine Snow’ (White)
- China Glaze ‘Liquid Leather’
- Maybelline Color Show ‘Chalk Dust’ (black & white glitter)
- VividLacquer Stamping Plate VL009
- Konad Stamping polish in black
- Teeny tiny paintbrush
- Seche Vite
I quite liked this one, however the yellow in the gradient came out a bit more green 😦 – I should have done second coat to make it more yellow so it matched a little better to the accent nail. Still, I am rather partial to a gradient/glitter combo so it’s not a total disaster lol!
But after I stamped and coloured in my accent nail using a paintbrush I thought I’d do the same for the other nails too, just switching the colours about:
It’s a little rough and ready in places but the stamping image itself is a little ‘messy’ in its design so perfect, precision painting would have looked a bit odd. Well, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! ha!
Oooh a quick work about the stamp! In my experience, Vivid Lacquer plates have always been excellent and VL009 is no exception 🙂 nice (large!)crisp clean images that transferred really well.
Well, that’s all for today guys! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I’ll see you all soon!
