China Glaze – Ruby Pumps

Hey Guys!

Wow, just wow. It’s been over two weeks since my last post 😦 thanks a lot, work!! I would love to say that things will calm down soon but until the department review is complete it’s unlikely. Proper rubbish…. So apologies for my absence and a big thank you for all your comments and for sticking around πŸ™‚ Fingers crossed the new year will bring some much needed home/work life balance

But enough of that, as there are only 1 moreΒ sleeps till Christmas!! I am just a teensy bit excited! Mr Eeeek is working on Christmas day (which sucks) but he will be home by the afternoon so our Christmas day will start then. I’m on cooking duty this year so I’m preparing a feast for Mr Eeeek;Β  Bacon wrapped sausages, parsnips, roast potatoes, assorted veg, Yorkshire puddings, two kinds of stuffing because life’s too short to only have 1 type of stuffing, cranberry sauce and of course turkey (we went all trad this year lol!) Dammit! that’s made me really hungry now…

So as we’re all in the Christmas spirit, I have a quick, fiery, festive mani for you πŸ™‚

For this I used

  • Nina Pro ‘Poison Apple’ (base colour) 1 coat
  • China Glaze ‘Ruby Pumps’ (glitter)Β  1 coat
  • DRK – B plate
  • Essie ‘ Good As Gold’ (stamping)
  • Seche Vite

Β Oh.My.God – how amazing is Ruby pumps!!! I am in love with this polish! I am somewhat ashamed to admit that this little beauty has only recently been added to my stash. Oh the shame!

I layered Ruby over another red as it’s a little on the sheer side and would have needed 3 may be even 4 coats for full opacity.

It’s unlike any other glitter in my stash and removal is so easy! I’ve said this before but Good as Gold is excellent for stamping and the others in the mirror metallics collection are equally just as good.

I’ve reviewed this particular DRK plate before which you can see here but to summarise, this stamp is a-mazing! I love love love it. The image is so crisp! The only downside to stamping with a metallic polish is that removing it from your cuticles is a pain as it tends to flood everywhere as soon as you get near it with acetone so I just put a little bit of tape (masking tape, sticky tape, doesn’t matter which) to protect my fingers and then stamp away freely!

So, that’s all for today guys. All I’ve got left to say is that I hope you all have a fantastic holiday season, eat drink and be merry!

See you soon!

EeeekNP x

P.s my goddam unicorn stamp arrived along with all my other beautiful Vivid Lacquer plates and I WILL be showing them to you over the coming weeks! Promise!

  1. Ruby Pumps is one of my favorites! I’m always worried I should have a backup in case I ever run out.

Merry Christmas! Hopefully you get more time away from work during this holiday season!
